NLS Program Update
There will be a NLS Program Update
starting June 2012.
Update clinics will start this Spring.
NLS Update Clinic for NLS Instructors, Examiners and Instructor Trainers
Date: June 2nd, 2012
Time: 12pm-5pm
Location: Base Gagetown Pool in Oromocto
Cost: 30$
NLS Instructor Course
Date: June 1 to June 3
Time: TBA
Location: Base Gagetown Pool in Oromocto
Cost: 175$
All NLS instructors, IT’s, and Examiners need to be updated by January 1, 2013. There will be another update clinic in the Fall for those unable to attend the Spring Clinic.
All Facilities/Affiliates need to run the new NLS standards by January 1, 2013.
New Physical standards to start practicing
1) Starting in the water, submerge and swim 15 m underwater
2) Swim head-up 50m in 60 sec or less
3) Entry and approach 25m to recover a submerged manikin or victim 25m in 90 sec or less
4) Swim 400m in 10 min or less
